Rebuilding Together Muscatine County (RTMC) is an organization in which volunteers fix up homes for local residents who are unable to do the work themselves. Most volunteers are unskilled. Repairs are done safely and in compliance with code restrictions, but most are not performed by professionals. Our biggest concern is to keep our clients safe, warm and dry.
If your home is chosen for work, all repairs will be completed free of charge but we want you as a partner in this process. We ask that you and/or any able bodied members of your household participate alongside volunteers in repairs to the best of your ability. Please understand that we receive many applications and are working to fill the need with limited resources.
THERE IS NO FEE REQUIRED TO SUBMIT AN APPLICATION TO RECEIVE ASSISTANCE FROM REBUILDING TOGETHER. REBUILDING TOGETHER HAS NOT AUTHORIZED ANY OTHER PERSON OR ENTITY TO ACT AS ITS AGENT FOR PURPOSES OF THIS APPLICATION AND ANY FEES OR COSTS ASSOCIATED WITH THIS APPLICATION PAID BY THE APPLICANT TO ANY SUCH PERSON OR ENTITY ARE NOT FEES OR COSTS CHARGED BY REBUILDING TOGETHER.
